As the Ministry Assistant to the Campus Pastor, she helps him carry out his responsibilities as Dean of Chapel, Student Led Campus Ministries Advisor, Pre-Seminary Director and Church Relations Ambassador. As a mentor, she gets a chance to connect with college students in many different ways—chatting over coffee; worshiping in chapel; traveling on mission trips; participating in service to the community; and addressing food/housing insecurity among the students. During her two-year internship, she served in Thailand as a missionary with LCMS World Mission and the Concordia Welfare and Education Foundation-Thailand.

A gathering for students at Concordia University Chicago will be sponsored. Those wishing to participate may bring Keurig drink pods (any variety) and/or individual grab-and-go snacks (e.g. fruit snacks, Pop Tarts, granola bars, trail mix, candy, mints, pretzels, etc.). Participation is optional.

Community members wishing to attend should call Deaconess Phaedra Serbus at 630-969-7987.
